Triangle of Ability
Our approach to helping challenged individuals reach their maximum potential is accomplished through what we have developed as the Triangle of Ability. The three sides comprising the Triangle of Ability include 1) the challenged individual, 2) the parent, caregiver or family member of the challenged individuals, and 3) the therapist or educator.
When all three members work together, recognize their roles and responsibilities, and carry over skills throughout daily functioning, the Triangle of Ability provides the opportunity for success to the challenged person for the rest of their life. The mutually respectful exchange of information and knowledge between all three members of the Triangle that will prove most rewarding. It is the responsibility of all three members to contribute to the fullest or the Triangle will be incomplete and weakened. It is the through the contributions of each member of the Triangle that the other two will learn. There is much to be learned from each other, most particularly from the challenged individual.
